Frequently asked questions about the Sunset Cruise

What time does the Sunset Cruise depart?
Departure time varies by season so the cruise lines up with sunset. In July, departure is usually around 7:30pm (sunset 9:15pm). In August, departure around 7:00pm (sunset 8:45pm). The exact slot is shown when you book online and on the email confirmation.
How long is the cruise?
The cruise lasts 1h30, the same format and route as the Three-Port Cruise: Argelès, Collioure, Port-Vendres and Cap Béar. The difference: you sail at dusk, in the golden evening light, with the sunset visible from the deck on the way back.
Are refreshments included on board?
The Sunset Cruise is a classic cruise with no refreshments included. For an option with aperitif and drinks, choose the Fireworks at Sea (unlimited sangria and fruit juice on board) or the private hire, which lets you customise the drinks. Water and soft drinks are available to buy on board.
Are children welcome?
Yes, the cruise stays smooth and suitable for the whole family. Babies (under 3) sail free, children aged 3 to 11 enjoy the reduced rate of €16. The dusk atmosphere and the changing colours of the sky are especially enjoyed by children. Remember to bring a light layer for the evening breeze.
Is the sunset guaranteed?
The time slot tracks the seasonal sunset, so you always watch it from the boat. The intensity of the colours can vary with the weather (a slightly cloudy sky often gives the most beautiful orange tones). If the weather actually turns bad, the trip is cancelled and fully refunded.
When does the Sunset Cruise run?
The Sunset Cruise runs from 10 July to 31 August, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Online booking is highly recommended as seats fill quickly — it is one of our most popular trips in peak season. Boarding at Quai Marco Polo, Port of Argelès-sur-Mer.

Why the golden light shines so brightly in Port-Vendres

Vauban forts, Cap Béar semaphore, Louis XVI obelisk: the harbour you approach at dusk hides a layered Mediterranean history, well worth discovering before or after your trip.
