Frequently asked questions about the dolphin watching cruise

What is the guarantee if we don't see any dolphins?
KapMer refunds 50% of your booking if no dolphins are observed during the cruise. Tickets must be presented to activate the guarantee. It is our unique satisfaction commitment on the Côte Vermeille.
How long does the dolphin watching cruise last?
The cruise lasts up to 3 hours at sea. The exact duration depends on the dolphins' location and weather conditions. The skipper optimises the route to maximise your chances of an encounter, going as far as the open sea off the Côte Vermeille if needed.
From what age can a child join?
The dolphin watching cruise is recommended from age 5. As the trip can last up to 3 hours at sea and the boat sometimes goes quite far from shore, this format is less suitable for very young children. For the youngest, the Short Cruise (40 min) or the Three-Port Cruise (1h30) are ideal.
Which boat is used for the cruise?
The cruise takes place aboard the Colibr-e, our hybrid boat. When approaching the dolphins, the skipper switches to fully electric mode: zero engine noise, zero vibration. The dolphins are not startled and approach the boat naturally.
Is there a best season to see dolphins?
Bottlenose Dolphins are present throughout the season in the Mediterranean, from April to September. The best observation conditions occur with a flat sea and light wind, which are common in the morning. KapMer adjusts departure times based on the weather and recent sightings to maximise your chances.
What is the Premium package with Découverte du Vivant?
The Premium package (€79 adult, €64 child) includes professional naturalists from the Découverte du Vivant association on board. They comment on the dolphins' behaviour, identify individuals from the local clan, and take professional HD photos which are sent to you after the cruise.
