How long does the Short Sea Cruise last?
The Short Sea Cruise lasts 40 minutes in total, with live commentary by the captain. It is our shortest sea trip, designed for a first taste of the Côte Vermeille or for families with very young children. Boarding and disembarkation at Quai Marco Polo, Port of Argelès-sur-Mer.
What sights do you see?
The Short Sea Cruise follows the coast between Argelès-sur-Mer and Collioure. From the sea, you discover: the reddish cliffs of Le Racou, the hidden coves of Ouille and Bernardi, the royal castle of Collioure and its iconic bell-tower-lighthouse. The boat sails as close as possible without entering the port of Collioure, then heads back to Argelès.
From what age can children join?
The Short Sea Cruise is suitable for all ages, from birth. Its short duration (40 min) makes it the ideal trip for babies and young children who might be less comfortable on longer formats. Babies under 3 sail for free, children aged 3 to 11 pay €12. Foldable pushchairs are welcome on board.
Who is it ideal for?
The Short Sea Cruise is ideal for: families with very young children or babies, visitors who want a taste of the sea without committing to 1h30, anyone who prefers shorter trips at sea, groups in a hurry or on a quick stopover in Argelès. Fares: €16 adult, €12 child, babies free.
Which boat operates the Short Sea Cruise?
The Short Sea Cruise runs aboard the Barracuda, our 97-passenger catamaran. The boat has an open upper deck to enjoy the sun and a covered, air-conditioned cabin for shade. The crossing is commented live by the captain throughout, in French and — depending on the crew — in English.
When does the Short Sea Cruise run?
The Short Sea Cruise runs from April to September. In high season (July-August), several daily departures are offered, mainly in the late afternoon (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.). In low season, departures are less frequent. Booking is recommended in July-August; tickets are also available at our kiosk on the Port of Argelès.
