Head to the majestic Cap Béar, the easternmost point of the Pyrenees! This commented cruise takes you along the spectacular cliffs of the Côte Vermeille, between Argelès-sur-Mer and Port-Vendres.

Discover the iconic Cap Béar lighthouse, secret coves reachable only from the sea, the commercial port of Port-Vendres, and the Vauban fortifications dotting this history-rich coast.

🗺 The route

Departing from Argelès-sur-Mer or Collioure, the Aquavista follows the rocky coast southwards. You sail past wild coves, secret beaches and terraced vineyards before reaching the cape itself — a vertiginous headland crowned by its famous lighthouse.

The return offers a different perspective on Collioure, with the royal castle and the bell-tower of Notre-Dame-des-Anges with their feet in the water.

🏗 The Cap Béar lighthouse

Built in 1905, the Cap Béar lighthouse stands 84 metres above the sea. A sentinel of the coast, it marks the easternmost point of the Pyrenean range, where the mountain plunges abruptly into the Mediterranean. During the Second World War, the German batteries installed around the lighthouse made it a strategic site whose remains can still be seen today.
