Your most frequent questions
What is the maximum capacity for an event?
Up to 141 people on the Aquavista (our largest catamaran). 97 on the Barracuda. 12 on the Colibr-e electric boat for small premium groups. For larger groups (200+), we can dispatch several boats at the same time — talk to us about it.
How much does a charter cost?
The price depends on the boat chosen, the duration (from 1h30 up to a full day), the number of people and the options (drinks, route, period). Count from around €800 excl. VAT for a short 1h30 charter on a small boat, up to several thousand euros for a full Aquavista day. Request your tailored quote — it is free.
Can we have a cocktail reception on board?
Yes — we work with local partner providers for dinner cocktails, caterers and musical entertainment. We can either organise the service in full or let you bring your own caterer. Let us know your preference when requesting the quote.
How far ahead should we book?
Ideally 2 to 3 months in advance in high season (June-September), especially for weekends. In low season (April-May and late September), we can often accommodate you within 7-15 days. Get in touch — we will check our availability live.
What is the boarding port?
KapMer boats leave from Quai Marco Polo, Port of Argelès-sur-Mer (66700). Boarding at Collioure or Port-Vendres can be arranged on request, subject to availability and conditions.
School trips: do you have special rates?
Yes, we offer preferential school rates for primary schools, secondary schools and sixth forms. Our trips are adapted to the school level (nursery to sixth form). During the trip, the captain provides commentary on the coast and marine wildlife in a way that is accessible to pupils. Quote on request at devis@kapmer.fr.
And in case of unfavourable weather?
If the weather does not allow a safe trip, we reschedule your event free of charge to another date. If a reschedule is not possible (for fixed-date events like a wedding), we look at all options: delayed boarding, shortened route, or full refund.
